Catch the Coastal Pacific train from Rangiora
Rangiora Railway Station is located in the Waimakiriri district, with easy connections to the northern suburbs of Christchurch.
You need to book in advance if you wish to board at Rangiora Railway Station, otherwise the train might not stop here.
Coastal Pacific Check-In
- Arrive at Station 20 minutes early
- Wait near the centre of the platform for the train to arrive
- A crew member will greet you on the platform once the train has arrived to check you in and provide you with your Boarding Pass and Luggage Labels.
- All wheeled bags, large backpacks, and suitcases will need to be taken to the Luggage Carriage.

Coastal Pacific train timetable
Our Coastal Pacific train from Christchurch to Picton runs northbound in the morning, while the returning Picton to Christchurch train runs southbound in the afternoon.
Coastal Pacific is daily seasonal service and runs from 1 September until 30 April. It take a break through winter until 31 August, and also does not run on Christmas day.
