Northern Explorer train to Paraparaumu
You can catch the Auckland to Wellington train to Paraparaumu on Saturday, Monday, and Thursday. The Wellington to Auckland train departs on Friday, Sunday, and Tuesday.
Located on the Kapiti Coast to the north of Wellington, Paraparaumu provides easy links to Wellington's Metlink train and bus services that connect across the Wellington region.
Please book in advance to ensure the train stops at Paraparaumu Railway Station.
Northern Explorer Check In
- Arrive at Station 20 minutes early
- Wait near the centre of the platform for the train to arrive
- A crew member will greet you on the platform once the train has arrived to check you in and provide you with your Boarding Pass and Luggage Labels.
- All wheeled bags, large backpacks, and suitcases will need to be taken to the Luggage Carriage.
