Itinerary
Coastal Pacific Journey to Wine Region
Board the Coastal Pacific train in Christchurch for a spectacular journey across the Canterbury Plains and heading north along the coast. Fly over viaducts and traverse tunnels through coastal cliffs as you snake between the mountains and the sea. Enjoy morning tea on board as you soak up the views from the comfort of your chair.
On arrival in Blenheim, you’ll be collected by your guide with a packed lunch from the train to eat as you head off for a tour of Marlborough’s wineries and cellar doors. Taste the famous Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc and other varieties and learn more about why this region is so suited to wine growing.
You’ll be returned to your accommodation following the wine tour to spend the evening at your leisure.
Omaka Aviation Heritage
This morning you'll enjoy breakfast at your accommodation before your shuttle arrives for an experience to capture your imagination.
You’ll embark on a guided tour of Omaka Aviation Heritage centre, including Sir Peter Jackson’s Knights of the Sky exhibition and the Dangerous Skies WW2 exhibition.
Lunch is included at the Omaka café before returning to your accommodation to collect your bags. Then transfer back to the station for your return journey on the Coastal Pacific train and enjoy dinner onboard as you watch the views go by your window.

Climbing aboard the Coastal Pacific in Christchurch, your coastal discovery break will start in relaxing style as you ease back in your reclined seat and enjoy the views through your panoramic window.
Explore the stunning Kaikōura Coastline, famous for its marine life and whale watching. We'll then voyage through to the vineyards of Blenheim, dripping with New Zealand's premium crop.
